Artist's Comments

I ended up going in too deep and i lost my skirt to the bottom of the river. :( it was tangled in my legs, so i got to choose between my life, or keeping the skirt attached to my (soon to be dead) body. i, obviously, choose life. but it's okay that i lost my skirt, because i have wanted to take a picture like this even before i got a camera... so whatever. i'm happy.

the shutter was actually fired by my boyfriend, but everything else (angle, framing, exposure, pose, costume, etc.) was set up by me, so it is my photograph. i just didn't want to destroy my remote in the water.

This is a really stunning picture. It's sad that you lost the skirt in the process, but at least you got some marvelous pictures beforehand, yeah? :D

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.

Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)

Nice work, the signature is ok although its a bit too big to be my kind of things (stealers wont be able to do much with low resolutions pictures and well if people just steal pictures, they're too sad to be taken care of so whats the use of having a sig this big ?!) and I still think Madelaine with the canadian spelling is strange (dont take it badly, but anyone who have (partly) read Proust is attached to madeleines with a different spelling) ...at the same time I think its lovely.
We most denitely dont want to lose you so be xtra careful with the drowning bit- I dont watch many people but your pictures are the ones I really care about discovering and am always in a hurry to see the next one. I like this one but I am a bit frustrated coz its "too small" to see the details - I wanna see the details on the muscles on these legs and feet (especially the right one) and I cannot with this "low" resolution :(
Other than that, its a lovely work, as usual : a nick cave's where the wild roses grow kind of work but even more important, a madelaine (and her boyfriend's) work...please stay exactly as your are!

Thank you.. I know watermarks are never nice to look at, but i actually have had incidents where i was saved because my art did have a watermark, and helped me prove that they had stolen my art.

I made it a bit larger for you, but i must be careful. if people wish to see my art in high res, they should not be looking online. hehe. thanks again. :)
